Tipster Digital Chat Station has claimed that Xiaomi Working on a new fingerprint scanner. With this, in-display ultrasonic fingerprint sensor can be provided in Xiaomi 15 series. The company can use Goodix’s ultrasonic fingerprint recognition system for this. It is considered cheaper than such sensors from Qualcomm. It is better than optical fingerprint sensor. This sensor scans the fingerprint in three dimensions and even wet fingers can be scanned easily. However, the use of this system is limited to some premium smartphones.
Earlier, another tipster had said that the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 can be given as processor in Xiaomi 15 series. Last month, the company launched its flagship smartphone Xiaomi 14 Ultra. It has a 6.73 inch OLED TCL C8 display. This smartphone launched in China has Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 as its processor with 3x liquid cooling chamber. It has been made available in three variants of 12 GB RAM and 256 GB storage, 16GB + 512GB and 16GB + 1TB. Its quad camera unit has a 50-megapixel Sony LYT-900 primary camera with OIS support. It is provided with a 50 megapixel ultra wide angle camera, 50 megapixel portrait telephoto camera and 50 megapixel periscope telephoto camera.
Its front has a 32-megapixel camera for selfies and video calls. It runs on HyperOS based on Android 14. This smartphone can be purchased in white and black colors. The 5,300 mAh battery of Xiaomi 14 Ultra supports 90 W wired fast charging and 50 W wireless fast charging. Xiaomi 14 will be launched in India this week. It has a 6.36 inch LTPO AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 120 Hz. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC has been provided as the processor in this smartphone.
