Report It is said that these also include members of Hezbollah, on which even America has banned. The report says that social media platform ‘X’ approved payment for its premium service to dozens of individuals and organizations who belong to terrorist groups. The report questions whether ‘X’ is violating US sanctions.
According to the information, 28 such accounts on X were verified with blue checkmark, which the US government considers a threat to its national security. These accounts include two leaders of Hezbollah, accounts related to terrorist groups in Yemen and accounts of state media of Iran and Russia. The report claims that out of these, 18 X accounts were verified with a blue check mark after the new rule came into effect.
The report also states that the verified accounts include many people and organizations that are recognized by a large number of people. Then how they were passed in the verification process of ‘X’ is a question.
On the other hand, a report by PressTV said that after the matter came to light, ‘X’ has suspended many Iranian accounts with paid subscriptions. It had already been said by X that it was looking into the TTP report and action would be taken if necessary.
