S-400 TRIUMF: Recently, when Iran attacked Israel with missiles and drones, its Iron Dome Defense System and Arrow-2 systems destroyed Iranian missiles. India also has such capability in the form of Russia’s S-400 TRIUMF defense systems. India-Russia had signed a deal worth US$5.5 billion. Under this, India was to get 5 units of S-400 TRIUMF. Russia has already supplied 3 units and the remaining 2 regiments will be supplied by next year.

According to PTI report, official sources have given this information. It is also said that the first of the two Russian-built warships, Warship Tushil, will also be supplied to India. The second warship Tamal will be supplied after that.

According to the report, both the ships were to be delivered by 2022 but it was delayed due to the Ukraine-Russia war. Sources have said that the supply of S-400 missile system will be completed by next year. It is noteworthy that India is purchasing missile systems to deal with the ongoing security challenges from its neighbours.

S-400 TRIUMF There is a missile defense system, which attacks from surface to air. With its help, enemy long range ballistic missiles, UAVs, short range missiles etc. can be destroyed. S-400 TRIUMF has been developed by Russia and it comes in the fourth generation of S-400 missile system. The range of S-400 TRIUMF is 250 to 400 kilometers, which means it can destroy enemy missiles coming from this distance.
