He said that Group Captain Prashant Balakrishnan Nair, Angad Pratap and Ajit Krishnan and Wing Commander Shubhanshu Shukla are the astronauts selected for the Gaganyaan mission. The PM had visited Vikram Sarabhai Space Center (VSSC) at Thumba near Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. He also inaugurated three space infrastructure projects of ISRO.

According to PTI report, the PM also gave ‘astronaut wings’ to the four astronauts selected for the Gaganyaan mission. He said that these are four such forces which encompass the aspirations of the 1.4 billion people of the country. He said that after 40 years an Indian is ready to go to space and this time the countdown, time and even the rocket is ours.
