We value mutual collaboration and this cannot be done through Zoom calls or other online mediums. Can be done.” Recently, TCS had decided to link the salary increase and variable payments to its employees with the rules related to working from office. Heads of units in the company had told their teams that the grades required for promotion would be based on their working from the office. The company is offering digital compensation to new employees who complete prescribed courses. This will make them eligible for a higher salary than the annual package of Rs 3 lakh.
For promotion and increase in salary, it will be necessary to follow the return-to-office rule. TCS has made it mandatory for employees to attend office five days a week. Due to this, the facility of work from home has been withdrawn for some teams. The company has asked employees to go to their designated office instead of choosing the office closest to their residence.
