National Award winning Bollywood director Dibakar Banerjee has remembered late actor Sushant Singh Rajput in a recent interview. The director said that after the death of the actor, no one remembered him. Everyone was busy looking for spice in the news of his death.

In an interview given to YouTuber Siddharth Kanan, Dibakar said, ‘When he died, the reason for his death was being searched on all the news channels. I had cut myself off from all these things.

I was listening to everyone but no one said that a young actor has died. No one was missing him. The sorrow of his demise was not visible anywhere. Everyone was just busy searching for the masala.

‘No one was talking about his films’
Dibakar further said- ‘No one is talking about what that boy did by coming from outside and doing TV, films… no one was talking about it. Everyone was only talking about what conspiracy was hatched, who gave drugs, who committed murder.

His loved ones could have held a condolence meeting: Dibakar
The director further said- ‘Where are all those sorrows in which we remembered Sushant? All those who wanted him could come together and screen his films. Could talk about that. We could talk about his good memories. But nothing like that happened.

Dibakar and Sushant worked together in the film ‘Detective Byomkesh Bakshy’ released in 2015. This film, made under the Yash Raj banner, could not perform well at the box office.

On the work front, Dibakar’s next film ‘LSD 2’ is to be released on April 19.
