Mumbai Indians (MI) captain Hardik Pandya has been fined Rs 12 lakh. Pandya was fined for slow over rate in the match against Punjab Kings XI (PBKS) in Mohali on Thursday. Indian Premier League (IPL) gave this information on Thursday.

In the 17th season of IPL, Mumbai Indians defeated Punjab by 9 runs on Thursday. Punjab won the toss and chose to bowl in Mohali. Mumbai scored 192 runs for 7 wickets in 20 overs. Suryakumar Yadav scored 78 runs on 53 balls. Punjab was out for 183 runs in 19.1 overs.

IPL officials said that this was the first mistake of Team Mumbai this season, hence the minimum punishment has been given as per the IPL Code of Conduct.
