What is International Space Station (ISS)
The International Space Station is present in the low-Earth orbit, 400 kilometers above the Earth. In this, a team of astronauts from America, Russia and their allied countries is always deployed and completes space related experiments. The International Space Station revolves around the Earth at a speed of approximately 7.6 kilometers per second. During this time it revolves around the Earth 16 times in 24 hours. The orbital path of the ISS covers more than 90 percent of our Earth’s population.

ISS takes pictures of every country over which it passes. NASA has shared 5 pictures. A panoramic view of the Himalayas can be seen in the first picture. It also shows the border of the world’s two biggest powers, India and China. Countries like Nepal and Bhutan are also located in the Himalayan range. Manasarovar Lake is present in the Chinese part. The snowy Himalayan range can be seen in the picture.
In the second picture, the clear waters of the Bahamas can be seen, in which clouds are also visible. The third picture shows the spectacular night view of Boston city. In the fourth picture, Saudi Arabia’s largest city and its capital Riyadh can be seen. Whereas, in the fifth picture, snow covered mountains and other areas of British Columbia are visible.
