Along with banning mobile phones inside schools in Delhi, it has also been said in the advisory that instead of carrying mobile phones inside schools for emergencies, a helpline should be created so that students can make necessary calls in case of emergency. Apart from this, it has also been said that excessive use of mobile phones can lead to incidents like bullying tendencies, exploitation and sharing of wrong content. The Directorate of Education has appealed to students, parents, and teachers to cooperate to reach a consensus in this matter.
