India had successfully landed Chandrayaan-3 on the Moon last week. The whole world had praised the country for this. However, Japan has suffered a setback regarding its lunar mission. Japan’s Space Agency on Monday postponed the launch of the rocket H-IIA carrying the Moon lander into space. The reason for this is bad weather.

Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI), the operator of this launch, said that the launch has been postponed due to wind conditions in the upper atmosphere. MHI’s Launch Services Unit said in a post on It was scheduled to be launched at 9:26 am from the Tanegashima Space Center of the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA). JAXA said that more information about this will be given by MHI in a YouTube livestream. The rocket was to carry JAXA’s lunar landing spacecraft, the Smart Lander for Investigating the Moon (SLIM), and an X-ray imaging satellite.

Last week, India achieved a major success with the safe landing of Chandrayaan-3 on the Moon. When scientists of the Indian space agency ISRO started the design of Chandrayaan-3, they knew that they had another chance to make history by landing on the South Pole of the Moon. His attempt had failed about four years ago. This time he had to complete this mission in a low budget. Only Rs 6.15 billion has been spent on Chandrayaan-3. For this, from the cost on the rocket to creating a supply base in the country, ISRO’s success in landing on the Moon with Chandrayaan-3 is indicating that ISRO has prepared a system to complete big missions at low cost.

However, this innovation of ISRO will be tested in the upcoming missions. The central government had allocated about Rs 13,700 crore for the Department of Space in the last financial year. However, the Department of Space had spent about 25 percent less than this. This budget in the current financial year is Rs 12,560 crore. In comparison, the American space agency NASA has been given a budget of $25 billion (approximately Rs 2,06,585 crore).
