Grusha Kapoor recalled that they waited for almost 10 hours for Salman Khan to show up on set. Actress Grusha Kapoor narrated the story of the shooting: Said- Salman had reached the set of ‘Janam Samjha Karo’ 10 hours late, I had vented out my anger on the director.

Recently, actress Grusha Kapoor, who was seen in the film ‘Teri Baton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya’, has shared the experience of working with superstar Salman Khan. Grusha played a small role in the film ‘Jaanam Samjha Karo’ released in 1999 in which Salman and Urmila Matondkar were in lead roles.

Grusha told that Salman once reached 10 hours late for the shooting. Grusha said in an interview to YouTuber Siddharth Kanan, ‘Our shift was at Mud Island from 9 am, I reached the location at 8:30. The rest of the cast like Urmila had also reached the set on time and were just waiting for Salman Khan. We had done all the shooting we had to do without him but Salman did not come. He reached the set around 7 or 8 pm.

Grusha said to the director – What are you waiting for now?

Grusha further said, even when he came to the set, the shooting did not start for a long time. Wearing bald and jeans, he sat on a sofa near the director and kept talking with him for a long time. Everyone was waiting for Salman to wake up and then complete the remaining shooting, but while waiting, it was 9 o’clock at night. My courage failed and I went to director Andaleb Sultanpuri and said angrily, what are we waiting for? It’s 9 o’clock.

Salman said- let’s do the scene ma’am

Salman was sitting next to the director, he looked at me and said – Yes, bring my costume. Let’s do the scene ma’am. Then we shot the scene. I think I had made the director’s job easier because no one had the courage to go to Salman and tell him that the shot had been ready for five hours. I don’t think there is any fault of Salman in this. I think when the director is more capable than the actor then he controls everything.

Was not aware of Salman’s stardom: Grusha

Grusha also said in the interview that she was not aware of Salman’s stardom while working in the film ‘Janam Samjha Karo’. She was a TV actress and at that time there was not even social media through which she could know how big a star Salman is. They later came to know that Salman had worked in hit films like Maine Pyar Kiya, Judwaa and Hum Aapke Hain Koun. Talking about ‘Janam Samjha Karo’, the film proved to be average at the box office.
