The sale of e-commerce platforms comes and as soon as the sale starts, people start queuing up to complain. Flipkart, one of the country’s largest e-commerce companies, recently organized its biggest sale of the year, Big Billion Days, soon after it started, people started complaining on social media that their orders were being canceled without their consent. Were cancelled. Now, a person has reported that he ordered a Sony TV worth around Rs 1 lakh during this sale and in return he got a Thomson TV inside the Sony TV box. After the post went viral on social media, a statement has also been issued by the company.

A user named Aryan shared his ordeal on X and told that he bought Sony TV during the Flipkart Big Billion Days sale. However, he was surprised when the TV turned out to be a low-cost model from another brand. In his post he wrote, (translated) “I bought a Sony TV from Flipkart on 7th October, delivery was on 10th October and on 11th October the Sony installation guy came, he unboxed the TV himself and we got a Thomson TV inside. Shocked to see. There were no accessories like stand, remote etc. in the Sony box also.

He also shared the unboxing photos, stating that he immediately contacted Flipkart’s customer care and raised his complaint, but it was not resolved even after two weeks.

He wrote, ‘I immediately raised this issue with Flipkart customer care and they asked me to upload the pictures of the TV, I have uploaded the pictures as instructed, however, they [फ्लिपकार्ट] They asked me two or three times to upload the pictures and I uploaded them as per their request.”

However, even after uploading the photographs several times, the company has not acted on their return request.

Aryan said, “First of all they gave me the solution date of October 24, but on the 20th they first showed it as a solution and then extended the date to November 1. Even today they showed me that the issue is resolved but my return request is also failed. I was waiting for BBD to buy a TV so that I can watch the World Cup on a nice big screen but this service of Flipkart has put me under stress which is really unbearable. help please.”

Eventually, Flipkart’s eyes opened after the post went viral and the company replied, writing (translated) “We are deeply sorry for your experience with the return request. We want to solve this for you. Please send us a DM with your order details so that they remain confidential here.

Another thing to be noted here is that Aryan’s television set was delivered by Delhivery, which does not give the option to check the product at the time of delivery.

There is nothing wrong with such complaints regarding Flipkart. The company has been in the news of these complaints for the last several years. Especially during the sale, there is sudden cancellation of the order taken at attractive discount and brick, stone, soap or any other product is found inside the box of one of the products.

Some people expressed grief over Aryan’s post and talked about going through a similar problem themselves. One user wrote, “I can understand you.” I will never buy any expensive or big electronics from Flipkart. I had a bad experience with the phone I ordered. But phones are still manageable. Anything larger would be a nightmare to handle. I would prefer to buy it from a nearby store.”
