MP to benefit from Economic Railway Corridor

According to officials of the state finance department, cement production is more in Madhya Pradesh. Similarly, mineral resources are also in abundance. The construction of this corridor will encourage agriculture, food processing, MSME and will bring huge economic benefits to Madhya Pradesh. With the construction of this corridor, there will be a 10% increase in freight traffic and the speed of goods trains will also increase. Apart from this, it has been announced to create two port connectivity and high traffic density corridor.

What is PM Gati Shakti Yojana?

This scheme was launched in 2021. Its objective is to work on a war footing to reduce the cost and time of ongoing projects in the country. Under this scheme, 16 ministry departments have been brought on one digital platform. Projects of the Ministries of Road, Railways, Oil and Gas have been included in this.

80 Amrit stations in MP at a cost of Rs 900 crore
This time in the Union Budget, the focus has been on railway expansion and modernization of stations in Madhya Pradesh. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has made a budget provision of Rs 15,143 crore for Madhya Pradesh for the expansion of railways. Under Amrit Bharat Yojana, 80 stations in the state will be re-developed. Rs 900 crore for this. Budget provision has been made. After the presentation of the budget, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said that in the year 2023-24, more than 700 km of new railway tracks were built in Madhya Pradesh and 68 km of tracks were electrified. He also told that in the coming days, more than 5 thousand km of new railway tracks will be built in Madhya Pradesh at a cost of Rs 77 thousand crores.

According to the Finance Department, in view of the immense potential of tourism in Madhya Pradesh, a big budget is expected from the Central Government. Under this scheme in the interim budget, the Center will share 60 percent while the state government will have to bear 40 percent of the amount. For this, a provision of matching grant amount will be made in the vote on account of the state.

According to Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, the decision to provide interest free loan of Rs 75 thousand crore in the tourism sector will lead to all-round development of tourism. Construction and expansion of airports on 517 new routes under the UDAN scheme will prove to be a milestone in the progress of air traffic. This will expand air traffic in Madhya Pradesh also.

Madhya Pradesh’s share in central taxes has increased. Madhya Pradesh will get additional Rs 6500 crore for the current financial year in the interim budget. Earlier in the current financial year, Madhya Pradesh received Rs 80 thousand 411 crore from central taxes. Have met. The central government has increased the scope of interest free loans up to 50 years. Madhya Pradesh will benefit from this. In the current financial year, a loan of Rs 7850 crore has been approved from central agencies in two installments. One installment has been received. The remaining amount will be received in the next two months.

According to Finance Department sources, to make the country’s infrastructure world class, the Modi government has increased the budget by 11.1% to a record Rs 11.11 lakh crore. Madhya Pradesh will benefit the most from this. The reason for this is that Madhya Pradesh’s capital expenditure is the highest at 4.5% of GDP. According to this, Madhya Pradesh can take a loan of Rs 56 thousand crore to spend in development works, but now if the size of the budget will increase, then capital expenditure will also increase and infrastructure will also increase.

Under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, 38 lakh houses have been approved in all 52 districts of Madhya Pradesh. Out of this, the government has claimed to have completed 32 lakh houses. Now funds will be available for the remaining 6 lakh houses. Madhya Pradesh government has also decided that houses will also be provided to dear sisters. For this, a decision has been taken to build 1 lakh houses in the urban area in the first phase. The Urban Development and Housing Department is making its rules. According to NITI Aayog, more than 40 percent people in the country still do not have their own house.

Ken-Betwa Link Project – Rs 3500 crore to be received next year

The central government will provide Rs 3500 crore in the next financial year 2024-25 to connect the Ken-Betwa river. Last year, in the general budget, the Central Government had made a provision of Rs 3500 crore for this project. But it was reduced to Rs 1400 crore. Now preparations are on to start this project before the Lok Sabha elections. The formalities for transfer of 5480 hectares of non-forest government land of Panna-Chhatarpur have been completed. The state government has already given permission to bring Nauradehi Wildlife Sanctuary under Project Tiger.

Ministry sources said that a total of Rs 46 thousand crore will be spent on the Ken-Betwa link project. Out of which the Central Government has given Rs 1100 crore in the current financial year. Bundelkhand region will benefit the most from this project. Which includes 13 districts of Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh. These include 9 districts of Madhya Pradesh, Panna, Tikamgarh, Chhatarpur, Sagar, Damoh, Datia, Vidisha, Shivpuri and Raisen, while Uttar Pradesh has Banda, Mahoba, Jhansi and Lalitpur districts.
