Bootes Void is Mysterious Hole In Universe Billions Of Times Bigger Than Milky Way

According to the American space agency NASA, the Boots Void was discovered by astrophysicist Richard Kirshner in 1981. It is a mostly spherical region which is empty, it is located 700 million light years away. There is also a galaxy with the same name here. The width of the Bootes Void is said to be 33 crore light years. That is, such a big space where billions of our Milky Way galaxy can fit.

When astronomers began mapping the universe based on available data, a pattern emerged that showed empty space in the middle of a network of galaxies. It is said about boots that it is a big void made up of small voids. In response to how voids could have formed, scientists say that after the Big Bang occurred, all the matter in the universe must have started shrinking. But here, due to quantum fluctuations, slight differences began to arise in the distribution of matter. Because of this, some areas became packed in dense matter and because their center of gravity was very powerful, they pulled towards themselves less dense matter with less gravity.

In this way, during the formation of galaxies, voids also started forming. Scientists are saying about Boots that it is so big that it alone makes up 2 percent of the diameter of the observable universe. Research suggests that it has 60 galaxies. But scientists believe that it should have around 2000 galaxies.
