According to a report, a new arrangement is being planned at Bangalore Airport.

Passengers boarding the flight from Terminal 2 of Bangalore’s Kempegowda International Airport will be able to go through security check without removing phones, tabs etc. from their hangbag. one of money control Report It said a trial run of CTX (computer tomography X-ray) machines at Terminal 2 (T2) would begin in the next few weeks. Initially this facility is only for domestic passengers and it will be started in December 2023.

This will be the first airport in India, where CTX machines will be tested. The CTX machines will be integrated with Automatic Tray Retrieval System (ATRS) and full-body scanner. With its help, passengers will be able to take their handbags along with mobile phones and tablets through security check points.

According to officials of Bangalore International Airport Limited (BIAL), which operates the Kempegowda airport, three full-body scanners have been installed at Terminal 2 to make the security check system more efficient. He says that with the introduction of the new system the number of trays required per person will be reduced. The special thing is that apart from gadgets, liquids etc. will also not have to be taken out of the bag during check-in.

However, there is no information on when the CTX machines will arrive at the remaining major airports. The report said that according to an official of Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL), Delhi Airport had conducted some tests earlier this year.
