Prime Minister Narendra Modi has praised the growth of the country’s automobile industry. He said that the contribution of mobility sector will be important to achieve the goal of ‘Developed India’. Modi said, “About 12 crore vehicles were sold in the country till 10 years ago. In the subsequent period, more than 21 crore vehicles have been sold. There has been a growth of about 60 percent in the sales of passenger vehicles in the last 10 years.” ”

In his address at the inaugural session of the India Mobility Global Expo, Modi said that the increasing number of middle class will strengthen the country’s mobility sector. As more people come out of poverty, the need for transportation, be it bicycle, two-wheeler or four-wheeler, will increase. Many big automobile companies are participating in this expo. Modi said, “I congratulate the automobile industry for organizing this wonderful event. I could not visit all the stalls but the stalls I saw were quite impressive. This is happening in our country and it is our It’s a happy moment. I’ve never bought a car, so I don’t have any experience. I’ve never even bought a bicycle.” He also interacted with representatives of automobile companies participating in this expo.

Modi said that the country’s economy is growing rapidly and it is sure to become the third largest economy in the world. He also mentioned major improvements in infrastructure in the last decade. For this, Modi gave examples of projects like Atal Tunnel and Atal Setu. He said that in the last 10 years, capital expenditure on infrastructure has increased from Rs 2 lakh crore to more than Rs 11 crore. Modi said that 75 new airports have been built in the last 10 years.

Under the Central Government’s Ease of Living Policy, Modi also informed about creating about 1,000 modern resting facilities for truck and cab drivers on national highways. Along with this, he also stressed the need to promote research on green hydrogen and ethanol for the automobile sector.
