Australian legend Aaron Finch is against the impact player rule in IPL. He said that this does not highlight the shortcomings of the team which entered the field with a poor strategy. At the same time, even the best strategy appears useless.
On this, former Indian player Subramaniam Badrinath said that it was only because of the Impact Player Rule that players like Ashutosh Sharma and Shashank Singh could get the platform.

Finch supported Rohit Sharma

Badrinath said- ‘Shubman Gill performed well. To be honest, he had to perform under pressure, Gujarat is playing without important players like Hardik Pandya and Mohammed Shami this season. Shubman kept his team together in this situation.
The way Shubman is leading an IPL team is praiseworthy. There is pressure from the opposition along with foreign players, coach’s strategy and uncapped players in the team, but amidst all this, young Shubman kept himself and his team under control.
Talking about all the captains, Sanju Samson impressed the most. He is not so young but at present he is the best captain of the tournament. Along with coach Kumar Sangakkara, he removed the shortcomings of the team and now he is getting the fruits of it.
I also want to take Ruturaj Gaikwad but he has Dhoni’s support. So I consider him a little lucky because MS is making his job a little easier.
Badrinath said that Gujarat Titans captain Shubhman Gill is the best among the young captains.

Badrinath does not want Karthik in the World Cup team
